Detox Simplified

We are living in a toxic world. Toxins are everywhere. Each generation is more toxic than the previous generation. Toxins lodge in the muscles and tissues of our cells until we become overloaded and become ill, often seriously ill. Many of our toxins have been inherited from the toxins that had been stored in the cells of our parents. Our children are carrying our toxins.

The good news is the body has an innate ability to cleanse itself with our help. It is absolutely essential that we cleanse or detoxify our body at least yearly and integrate practices into our daily lives that will help keep us in good working order! What would happen to your car if you did not change the oil on a regular basis?

Below are some general guidelines for cleansing and daily practices that will assist the body with its natural ability to cleanse.

Essential cleanses to be at least yearly (Often in this order)
  • Kidney Cleanse
  • Parasite Cleanse
  • Liver/Gall Bladder Cleanse
  • Bowel Cleanse

*Most people also need to complete a Candida Cleanse to remove fungus overgrowth. There are studies indicating an excess of fungus in the body contributes to cancer.

Essential practices, most to be done daily
  • Reduce processed foods from your diet.
  • Drastically reduce sugar from your diet and replace with natural sweeteners such as stevia or Lakanto. PLEASE DO NOT USE SPLENDA OR SOME OF THE OTHER “REPLACEMENTS”…THEY ARE POISON.
  • Use chemical free cleaning products.
  • Use beauty and personal care products that are non-toxic. Learn to read the labels. Even products sold at health food stores contain toxins.
  • Reduce your exposures to toxins from stress and negative thinking, often your own! We tend to point the finger at others, thinking we need to avoid them. Remember when you point fingers, you have 3 fingers pointing back at you.
  • Combine your foods differently. Meat, potatoes and a veggie is a difficult combination to digest. Meat plus veggies or potatoes plus veggie is much easier to digest. Fruits are best eaten separately.
  • Drink a detox tea.
  • Consume products that contain probiotics. Probiotics contain friendly bacteria that will improve your digestion and assist in cleaning up intruders such as e-coli
  • Stimulate outer thigh points, as this helps to release toxins from the body.
-Curl your fingers and place them at the bottom of your hip on the side of your legs
-Push in with strong pressure and make tiny circles
-Move down an inch and repeat
-Continue all the way “down the seam” to your knees, breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth
*This technique was developed by Donna Eden, author of Energy Medicine.

  • Participate in sessions with an energy medicine practitioner.

Although you can research the literature and information that is available on cleansing and detoxing, it might be a better use of your time to consult with a practitioner that is knowledgeable on this process. There may be some discomfort associated with cleansing. A practitioner can help you discern what is normal and what is not and make the necessary modifications in your program to ensure your success.

We cannot control many of the toxins around us, however we can be diligent about keeping ourselves as strong as possible to manage what is coming at us on a daily basis. Let us be good stewards of this marvelous creation that we have been blessed to embody!
